This is a photo of my spur and pinion after my first bash from factory.

I used the paper method. Was able to pull the paper out without it tearing- nice grip not too tight it felt when pulling it.

Put the housing back on and it makes a nice tick tock sound as many say it should have. I have not loctite 243d anything just was looking on thought if this seems okay?

Thanks all

It appears fine. You know the mesh is to tight when you start feeling resistance when turning that spur gear. Soon you'll just know that sweet spot by second nature. Your other critical adjustment is that slipper clutch. A little loose is better than to tight for saving your drive train. Loc tight both motor brace screws as well as the d- shaft motor grub screw using BLUE loc tight.
