For me working on my diffs always has the following three stages:


Stage 1: Excited to wrench.

Stage 2: Removing all the grease and diff oil that will mess up all your fingers, table, parts, tools.

Stage 3: When done and got that nice mesh you are talking about.

When I worked assembling material handlers we would have to shim the booms, only after you had be there awhile and got good at it could you call yourself SHIM LEE shim master (Bruce Lee's uncle )
