Years back made up these aluminum light weight yet strong supports on the Typhon. Never bent or broken one in years of had abuse & tumbles !! *Pic #1 the aluminum light duty's
Just recently finished up a Kraton build repeating the support struts on spoiler mount. 2 soft tumbles last weekend and one struts ball / eye brew out
Well, obviously the Kratons greater weight puts a LOT more stress on the spoiler mount & while none of the those parts failed, the under built support struts added took the brunt of the forces.
NO PROBLEM ... finding some Vintage Koysho Ball & Eye ends in my stash, made up different struts using Acetal plastic. Counter bores placed in each end & threaded holding it all together securely making for a super light yet vastly more robust pair of struts. * Pic #2 the heavy duty's
*Pic #3 as being built / assembled
