Today I was messing around in a field near the house and all of a sudden I lost wheel power, meaning I was pulling the trigger, and I heard spinning, but no moving. I found that my pinion had slipped and the set screw had perhaps backed out, or was never tight to begin with ( this was a used purchased 6s). I have a 19T m1 pinion, and not that I want to change it, but does anyone have the part number for the set screw? I really don't want to have to get another pinion, just for that set screw.

What do you all run with and what would you recommend for either the fix, or the pinion tooth setup?

Easy to get in a LHS, Amazon or Aliexpress. Just search for grub or socket screw. They cost a few cents and your LHS owner will probably give you one for free.
Clean the pinion with a toothbrush cleaning stick with alcohol and/or with a lighter torch to remove all old locktite.
Use blue locktite when installing the new grub screw and let it cure for 24h (I’ll usually do 48h just to make sure).
I haven’t had a pinion come lose ever since.

The screw was still in, just not tightened. When I went to adjust down, it stripped. I ended up drilling it out, but now I am out that set screw. Do you know if the stock 16t pinion has the same sized set screw? Or do I just buy the stock 16T and I have an extra for later?

Same size. I’d (also) buy a bag of grub screws for a dollar or so, since re-using a grub may not be the best idea. Risking a stripped grub screw when a new one costs about € 0.05 isn’t worth it.

A set like this is very handy to have. I try not to reuse set screws if they have any play.

I bought these Amazon sets before as well, but you always have 200 items you can't use on anything.
Cool deal, thanks. Yeah. Having too many of ones you can't use gets confusing.
