Any tips on what to do about the little pins inside the differentials that go thru the outdrive cups. Mine keep shearing off and I'm losing my rear wheel drive

Are you referring to the 31mm or 29mm (EXB) diffs?

The 31mm have 2.25mm Ø pins (AR310440). Arrma uses cheap Chinesium material that is undersized, which is an automatic death sentence to a diff and its internals. I ordered a few sets of M2C Racing pins.

The 29mm use 2.5mm Ø pins (p/n ARA713033). Although I've had no issues with the stock 29mm pins, I replaced them all with Mugen MUGH0274 units. Cheap insurance. Not going to chance a $0.50 pin grenade my diffs.

Aliexpress also has hardened 2.25mm and 2.5mm blanks that many cut to size. I have not heard of much trouble with the exb pins but more issues with the BLX ones.

If you search the forum you will find several threads, pictures, some some analysis on this.

I have the M2C pins in my new Notorious BLX diffs. Much better fit with no slop like the stock pins. Cheap and should last WAY longer.

This vid will show why the stockers break easily and why the drill blank pins fit better.

Finally a worthy thumbnail!

I was constantly breaking stock pins in my non lsd diffs. I wasn’t landing on throttle but I love doing standing and rolling back flips.

I had success using drill blanks but found it to
Be a tedious task to cut the blanks to the exact size with a dremel abd then sanding down the edges.

M2c is just so convenient.

Once I replaced with the M2C pins and outdrives, never had that issue again.
