Notorious jumped today, came down and no forward drive. Lost the drive pin out of the rear output side on the right. Went and cut a drill bit just to see if I could limp it by for the day. When I had a look at it, looked as if the sphere was cracked. Didn’t take any pictures though…

Pressed in a newly cut pin for it and sure enough the crack expanded.

Are the Arrma ones fine to use for replacements, or look at another option?

Never done one myself but I hear drill blanks are the hot ticket. Anyone have a walk through video on how to do it. I have a couple that need replacing.

I’ve used these pins before to replace pins in stock dogbones.

Overall I would say not worth it. I had a hard time pressing out the stock ones. And when I put the new ones in, sometimes the hole was loosened from extraction process and the new pin had a loose fit.

I would recommend replacing with stock set from Jenny’s or M2C to upgrade entire dogbone.

I totally agree. This is one fix that just doesn’t make sense to MacGyver, just buy a new one, stock or upgrade.

Yeah, I’ve got new ones on the way. For time being will run one of the other trucks, if the weather holds tomorrow :)
