Here's the video where the guy made the Hobbywing sensor work with an XLX2. I think this guy has or at least had the record for fastest off road pass. He's got an old video where he had a Kraton 8S up to 94mph on grass.

No, that’s for the opposite direction. HW ESC and non-HW motor.

I pretty much made my own adapter, wire for wire in the correct order. But there are adapters available online now.
