Toyota gt1 body with blue candy chrome fire

Just completed this body for someone and I have to say that this is probably my favorite paint color combo I’ve done yet..simple but cool

WOW. Any recommendations on a 1/10 scale GT body?

@Ajag yet another awesome shell mate. Thinking about trying a bit of hydrodipping myself (have just received a really coool damascus steel film). Quick Q, do you:

1) paint the inside of the shell first (presumably a translucent paint), then hydrodip the inside;
2) hydrodip the inside, then paint the inside over the hydrodip film;
3) paint the inside, hydrodip the outside; or
4) none of the above?

If 4, please tell me!

@Grimbles unfortunately I don’t have any real hydro dipping with film experience...everything I do is with paint...no films..I do hydro dipping for a marbling effect but only with paint ...

this is what it looks like when I paint flames ..from the inside before shooting the final black basecoat
as you can see the flames are created with chrome paint over the candy colors...flames are done free hand with the use of stencils to help get the fine edges and shape
