@vipercf , a fan blowing directly at a motor is ok using just a Fan mount. I don't run Heatsinks for the most part with my BLX type motors.
>>> But with a Brushed 550 motor there are Many choices. 0550 size 36mm diameter Heatsinks/Fan combos are easily found.
>>>Just make sure you don't cover the open slots on sealed endbel Brushed motors, There is a rotor fan inside these motors that needs to ventilate air through the slotting to keep the "brushes" Cool. So choose the Heatsink wisely. Blocking off the slots works completely against you.
Below is something that looks doable. Look around.
A 35 mm rocket fin is good enough for the mega brushed motor. Make sure to get the name brand Rocket like the one below. There are a lot of copies that don’t move as much air. I don’t know if the stock 3S heat sink will work because it probably would cover the motor vents at the back of the can. So a basic powerhobby fan mount will work. I stick with the name brand powerhobby because the look a likes, which run a good bit cheaper, are made from softer metal and tend to strip out. I prefer the fan blowing directly on the motor. Heat sinks on rc motors impair cooling from what I’ve found.
The above will run you 35 bucks. You could also get a double 30 mm powerhobby fan set up for around 27 bucks. The fans are not the quality of rocket fans, but they are relatively high speed. Mine lasted for a good, six months of hard bashing before they broke.
It’s been along time since I had a brushed mega 4x4. I am pretty sure there is an extra plug in the esc to run fans off, but can’t remember exactly. I’ll have to pull mine out of storage and look at it to remember…

I did the power hobbies mount and rocket fan... works amazingly. I had to add some traction tape to the inside of the mount to keep it from slipping around. Solid as could be now. Great combo.
