Big Rock Why the o-ring on center driveshaft?

Any idea why Arrma installed an o-ring on the center OEM driveshaft? Bearing is captured in the retainer so o-ring isn’t there to prevent it from travelling. I bought the Hot Racing unit and the stock o-ring diameter is too large. I do have an o-ring kit and can install the right right size but wondering what it’s purpose(s).

Maybe to keep harmonic vibrations to a minimum? No clue.

I wondered if it had to do with harmonics also. As floppy as they get at speed I don't think it'd really help so much for that though
