You're going to need a big pinion.I have just gotten my new motor in the mail. The X-team motor has many sizes and makes so I made a choice to try one on my kraton. I'm going to set it up on 4s and next some new wheels and tires
Yes going tomorrow and picking up a 20t
I thought I knew everything on my kraton and picked up wrong mod pinion. The quality looks good motor spins good wires are nice and heavy come with larger bullit connectersThinking of getting one, what are your thoughts so far? Not familiar with these motors...
I did try two wires and nothing but didn't try any of the other ones , I will give it a try.I believe that is your issue. The ESC thinks it is in reverse. And that only gives about 50% power. My Hobbywing/Hobbystar combo has the phase wiring lined up inside to outside. With rotation CCW. And if memory serves me, the BLX was the same. That thing should rip with that motor.
I am going to do that first thing after I get some more heat shrink.i will get motor rotation correct and see about ESC settings and endpointsI never reverse throttle. I would set it back and change the wires so that it runs forward when the throttle is applied. Hold the truck off the ground and check full throttle. Then check full reverse. If reverse is faster I would change the motor rotation in the esc. I had this issue once and I was screwing around with everything. At the end of the day, unreversing the radio throttle control and changing the motor direction is what fixed it for me.
