I think that's a great setup. You might be able to save a little money going with a different servo (a lot of guys go with the DS china specials - link below). I have nothing bad to say about the Savox, however. Solid choices!

Good setup. I second the DS servo.

I run one of these chargers: https://www.skyrc.com/D100_v2_Charger https://www.amazon.com/SKYRC-Balance-Charger-Discharger-Battery/dp/B07PRWD9F9

Get 1 of these: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Batt...ics&sprefix=lipo+tester,electronics,63&sr=1-9

Get a 5 pack of these: https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Volt...d=1647284471&sprefix=lipo+alarm,aps,71&sr=8-2

The first checker can balance, discharge (very slowly), give you internal resistance, and more. The 5 pack of alarms are great when you want to diagnose an issue or just to check how much voltage drop you are getting at a per-cell level under load. Those little alarms monitor the voltage of each cell and will alarm if any individual cell in the pack hits the set alarm point. I don't run them often, but when I try new gearing, new electronics, a new battery, or I'm having any issues I'll run the truck with one of these set to 3.2v or 3.0v on each balance plug. You will almost always have one of the cells hit the alarm under load before you hit your low voltage cutoff. Its useful to see if you have one bad cell in or if you are drawing more power than you expect across all cells.

What connector is coming on your batteries? If I remember correctly the Max 6 comes with XT90 connectors. Never run an adapter between your batteries and ESC. You can use an adapter to charge the batteries, but not to connect them to the ESC. That said, whatever connectors you use for your ESC and batteries - pick up some charging leads on Amazon. They are cheap.

That Dx5 has a bit of a learning curve to it. There’s a few good videos on YouTube you may want to check out.

cheers,
kev
