It's finally Siren time again. I'll follow @TpPartsRcXtreme lead and rebuild one of the most ridiculous little rig ever. . . BUT,

This truck has been sitting for a LONG time looking just like this:

Beat up & gutted for a rebuild. But the 8S trucks popped up so it's been waiting for 3 years. So I'm going to go a bit extreme with it & see just how much of a tank it can become. Anything that can be aluminum will happen. except for the arms & links. I still have to keep some weaknesses to keep the core from getting wrecked. I grabbed every spare part I had on hand before dumping dough into it & it got me this far . . .

Now all I need to do is order parts. I'm going to go with Mojave arms. Replace all the hubs, suspension pin hangers, lower braces, center diff section, steering rack, & diff cases in red aluminum. I obviously had to put the Corally system in it. Although the truck is small, all that aluminum will still weigh it down. I'll probably end up changing the diffs over to limited slip EXB as well. I've been working on this thing for 2 weeks now, mainly making the center support work as the ESC holder. It should be able to fit any Stampede body when I'm done - since that truck has the most 1/10th bodies by far.

Sorry but whats a siren?
It's basically a Typhon 6s with a chassis cut down to a 1/10th MT wheelbase. Here's what it looked like about 4 years ago compared to a Typhon:

It's the same size as the Granite, so I used that body first.

Then it went through a few changes after I wrecked it:

After a few more wrecks it ended up for a rebuild, 3 years ago

Oh ok. Learn something new everyday. Looks very compact. Not a bit of free chassis left. Bet it does wheelies and flips all day.

Definitely. It started out way too light for 6s, then as I weighed it down it behaved better. It's going to need all the weight I can add to handle that Corally system.
Here's a video of it. I think I wrecked it about a week after this. I'm also pretty sure I took this on my old phone.

I used to be interested in building one, but then I saw more videos. Unless you have the huge steep playground that TP Parts has, 6s power on a Granite length chassis is unusable and problematic. Throttle control gets really twitchy.

6s is useless with the Corally system in general. I've been using it in a lot of rigs & It's my go to system for now. Too bad JennyRC can't keep thenm in stock. I have plenty of 4s lipos for this thing.

6s is a mistake on this thing but it's definitely bashable. The Corally system make it extra nutty. It's going to take a few more upgrades to survive some hard hits.

I completely forgot I had a whole set of EXB diffs from JRC back when the Mojave EXB hit. I just grabbed a 29mm aluminum diff cup so this thing will have all EXB diffs. Definitely beats ripping up 3 year old diffs. So after this, there's not much more I could do to it. Unfortunately, the upgrades was on the light side (Hot Racing) when I thought they would be the heavy crushed soda can GPM quality. So it's not going the gain too much weight over the plastic stuff.

It's all together & it's one serious beast. I also worked out a much easier battery strap solution using some Kraton 8s straps & cutting that stupid long strap in half.

I also finished the Corally while I was at it. They both weigh about 11lbs with the tires but I made the Corally about 1.5" wider so it could have same dimensions as the 4s Outcast I was trying to build but gave up on it.

Very cool. Sketer like on 6s. 🤣
Watched v3 video. Man, there's so many creative ideas. Dude, you're a damn guru! Awesome 👌

I learned a lot from turning the 1st one into kibbles n' bits. A rig like this really fights against itself to stay together. I understand why the Sketer has a longer wheelbase. If it had this WB, it really wouldn't have a chance w/o a ton of aluminum upgrades - which I'm finding out the hard way with the Corally version.

I'm gonna have to use some of your ideas rigging up a body mount setup for the Sketer. My body is toasted and I need to come up with something else.

It's time to tame the beast, by letting it be as wild as possible.
