Can someone tell me iff the BLX 185 is actually a Hobbywing ezrun max 8 or a quickrun 150?

It's quicrun I believe. I have the BLX 200, I know it's a max8

Yeah, BLX 200 is the restricted max 8

I bought a hobbywing maxx 8 yeasterday, big improvement from the dodgy blx 180. the guys at the hobby shop were certain its what arrma use for their blx 185- but then thats just their opinion and it could have been a sales pitch or something.. would the maxx 8 be ok to run with the stock red motor? I think i read somewhere the motor should be at least 2400kv? Sorry if this is abit unrelated..

BLX 200 is the rebranded MAX8,, same esc, but with limited program features.

Stock motor is fine, you want lower KV motor for efficiency.
