Built an Infraction a while back here are some photos

This car has been thru a lot of power plants and even more crashes. The carbon chassis held up with but the aluminum end plates have been warped and restraighened as many time as i can remember.
The car with current setup is as follows
castle 1721 28 pinion 36 spur
talion exb 4.3 final drive
xlx2 Qs8
stock spool
carbon drive shafts
flow pack battery tray
scorched carbon chassis with top brace
scorched motor mounts(both 25 and 30mm)
basherqueen carbon strut tower braces.
SRD 4s speed packs

car is pulling just over 400 amps on full pulls . I can gear it a lot more



1st tp5680 1920kv flier(second to last setup…gave away motor and using same esc on another project)

This picture was the first and original setup. On the first 8s pass it smoked the esc and did 147mph(grp s5)

This was the third reliable setup. Did consistant 130’s

This was the same but with a max five first….didn’t last more than two days

This is the current setup with infraction truck body It does 140’s. Frame is twisted so its done for now. I have a new limitless and new chassis. Just waiting on the power plant. It’s a tp 5670 cm 2510kv and a new flier 16s 500amp esc. I will start a new thread .

What made u decide to go with the 4.3 diffs??

the sss 56104 did good when it was new but it doesn’t like being over stresSend. The tp is a monster. its a 5680 1920 kv and it will pretty much smoke anything out their including the esc hahaha. The flier did well with it.
the diff were just a idea. I just figured out the bearings so on the the rebuild i will be reusing the setup. Plus the esc diffs are limited slip. It worked well before my last crash so i think its a good idesa. Plus its stronger then the stock diffs. I will end up with a spool setup and make this a drag car geared to 150. Even with tall gears the car pulls thru with the high ratio….just check bearing after any 140+ run

5680 1920kv would stress about anything esc out there..I got 2 5660s an 5670.torque monsters.ive always ran 20 mill in diffs all locked up,I see alot of others do well less locked..I do like you build um up,overpower um then usely total um out.heres typhon from a month ago.worst one so far.totaled out 8s senton at 111mph last weekend.always wanting to build something new an unusual.

Digging your builds,alot like ones I've done.have you tried pps mont? If so do ya like the scorched one better??

I went with scorch and never looked back. I had a crash at 130 with my tp 5680 on the same chassis…..the car whipped hard left on full power and smacked the sidewalk. The motor ripped out of the mount and broke my first pair of carbon driveshafts. The chassis split and the rear suspension/ bulkhead was destroyed. The motor mount didn’t have any issues. Just used another set on holes on the motor and no problems….well almost, the front cover on the motor was a little warped and the bearing was destroyed.

Hahahaha…I’m crying on the inside. I already had 3 Replaced by castle. This box is waiting to go out for cores……..all from that sss 56104 and tp 5680 1920kv….i went to flier and so far its holding up very well. The castles is stressed by the 6 pole motors

I bet,5680 1920kv pulls some amps .you gotta log from that motor?????ive pulled over 500amps on 8s with these motors running 140ish.heres my last cc order

Are you done running the 6 pole motors????only other options are 40mm or castle 2400kv or 1100kv.

yeah that why i finally decided to go flier for the 6 pole motors. I was only able to get logs on 6s with that motor. Anything over that and the esc‘s never made it back.

I ordered a tp 5670cm in 8s…also a 500 amp flier. I love the 6 pole motors. I ran the tp 5680non 8s once and the car did a back flip @ 130 mph when i gave it full power….also dusted the esc but it sounded great.
cordova makes a stronge motor. I gave away a Cordova 1445 2300kv on a trade. I only bench tested it but that was the 2nd strongest motor behind the 5680.

That 5680 motor is a monster.

That 5680 is a monster. You think your new 5670cm is kinder on escs over the non cm 5680?
Please let us know how the flier esc holds up to cm motor.

i have just brought a 10s 5670cm , Might be Looking at other escs myself if burn Up xlx2.

It will be kinder on the esc with lower voltage….but on 8s i think ill push it to about 600 amps and see how it does…the 5680 is almost double the amps so it can pull over 1000 amps

I think we have to use the best lipos we can for these sort of motors.
Looking at your logs on 6s run, voltage took a dive!
At one point approx 1.7v per cell.
Esc definatly won't like that.
