Kraton Hobbywing max 8 with 4985

I was wondering if the hobbywing max 8 can handle the 4985 1650kv motor from hobbywing because I was running it and the esc got pretty hot and it was cutting outand my gearing is 17 tooth pinion and 50 tooth spur I was trying to do standing backflips and it was doing it but like I said was just trying to see if I should be worried about the esc catching on Fire or something like that btw I have a arrma kraton exb 1/8

That ESC is too weak for that motor TBH. What you need is a Max 6 esc and you are set. You will end up frying the Max 8 ESC.
