Vendetta How long will the 3900KV motor last with 4s?

I am thinking about putting a 4s 120 esc in my vendetta. Any thoughts on how long this might last?

As with anything, I would keep an eye on motor temps.

Also, if you haven't purchased the 4S ESC yet, I would suggest buying a 6S ESC instead. The extra overhead will be helpful even if you only run the car on 4S.

There are a lot of factors that play into the motor's survivability during those conditions, including how bard you drive it, voltage sag, etc. So really the answer is "it depends".

But based on the motor being a 50k rpm max motor, and that it would be running at 65k rpm on 4s, I would say don't expect a very long life.

Turned 53,000rpm on this short 5s hit..surprisingly motor didnt feel to hot..under 150 degrees.

I moved to the 150 6s in k4s and have the 120 just sitting on the shelf.

Id just spend more an get the new g2 quikrun 6s esc..i had the old g1 one an i couldnt kill it..was a great esc..

I ran the 3900kv on 6s with specktrum 150amp esc in my infraction mega pass after pass after pass 3 months straight before I switched to a castle set up . That 150/3900 combo was the balls

Thanks. This might save me a few dollars this winter when I am upgrading some cars and moving older 4s and 6s combos to different cars.

I was thinking about trying to make my vendetta into a 'drag car' and wasn't sure which way to go, so this might be a start to tinker with for cheap.

I occasionally run 6S in my Kraton 4sv2 2400kv with 150 6s ESC and no issues with that.

Well, I can tell you how long the tires lasted two 5600 4s packs. I think that I'm going to go with the 17mm hubs and look for bigger tires, then gear down.
