After I thought I was being naughty today by running 8s on my motor... I did some reading. Turns out 8s on my obbystar motor shouldn’t be bad on it as long as I monitor temps. Came straight from the dealers fingertips haha.

Now I can run 8s and monitor my temps without feeling guilty about it ??.

it was an absolute beast on 8s. I had a ton of fun playing around with it this afternoon. Did some full throttle passes and it was downright scary in the small space i have to play in. The 1580kv motor had lots of torque to break the tires loose and get the car sideways with the hoon tires. It was blast.

still has stock front and rear diff fluids and a white dot center diff (think that’s 100k?)

Been workin on the limitless tonight..

Haven’t decided weather I wanna get a gps meter or get a dx5 and use The telemetry for speed measuring. Obviously I really don’t care if it’s dead on accurate... $60-80 for a decent speed meter or $155 for a dx5.. ??

I really wanna join the triple digit club, and proper cooling is probably gonna be important..

After doing my spektrum swap into the limitless, i Couldn’t make the k8s heatsink work... so I rigged up something of my own... I used a hobbywing heatsink, a dual 30mm fan 3D printed plate I got from a fellow arrma member ? and 2 power hobby super insane turbo fans lol.

The heatsink had to be trimmed a bit so it didn’t make contact with the drive cup. (pictured)

Also drilled some holes for ventilation. It killed me to do it to my beautiful body... but I think it will benefit in the end ??

One thing to note is that the Spektrum radios rarely have range beyond 700 ft.
100 mph speeds eat up roads fast! (146 feet per second) Any radio can use a signal booster, but some out of the box don't need one.

Futaba radios using the FASST protocol, FlySky NB4, and radio link with the 6 ch receiver are all known for long range.

While I wait for my infraction V2... I’m gonna try and get some practice in with a converted limitless to see how I do. ??
