The new kraton v2.5 motor timing is set to 22.50 degrees!
It's kinda high I think.
Is a lower timing better for the motor, heat wise?
I know it will run somewhat slower.

The timing Arrma puts their cars out with is a little hot, imho. I'd lower it to 15° or even try 11.25°. You won't notice that much difference in terms of performance but it will definitely lower your motor temps a few degrees.
 
FWIW, the stock timing on the 130a ESC was 15 degrees. Those were rock solid and durable. Couldn't hurt to lower timing slightly to reduce heat.

Where did you find that the timing was 22.50? I know the stock 150a ESCs were 22.5. It doesn't even look like you can adjust timing on the 120a ESCs in the 4s trucks?
