Sounds good I’ll take a picture of my Fireteam without a body on.Welcome to the forum. You should post some pic of your truck with the body off and give us tech heads a thrill. I can see it's a hot ride.
Oh yeah I airbrushed it. I have another set of wheels with chameleon colors in it.Welcome!
I see you have painted those wheels white also.
I’ve notice that it doesn’t run on awd mode. So I chose spool to keep it awd so I can crawler uphill. Anybody doing spools in front/rear diff?Welcome!
Nice job on the wheels
I am curious why you went for a spool in the center?
That's where heavy diff oil comes in.I’ve notice that it doesn’t run on awd mode. So I chose spool to keep it awd so I can crawler uphill. Anybody doing spools in front/rear diff?
Here pictures without a body on…. Chassis getting this oxide from Seaside Oregon. Everything steel parts getting rust from that beach so I had to clean up all rust parts with a white vinegar.
I’ve put 10,000wt in f/r diff and it seem improve a lot. I didn’t like how center diff work, look like 60% to front and 40% to rear. With spool, 50% & 50% that’s what I liked. I know if I install spool in f/r and it would be hard to control at curves and spinning for sure. That's where heavy diff oil comes in.
AWD means power goes to the wheels with the least friction.
4WD means power goes to all wheels.
Locking all diffs can have it's advantages (crawling and speedrunning) but in general purpose AWD gives better driving characteristics, especially in cornering.
Easiest way to lock the diffs is to replace the oil by silicon earplugs. But i would suggest to try heavier oil first (>100 000 WT) It will be nearly locked but still allow decent cornering.
