I've heard a lot of hit and miss experiences with the Onyx system myself. If I was looking for an inexpensive brushless setup I might look at the XERUN SCT combo.

Uhh that would be nice but im not taking any chances with the blx esc
The max8 motor combo is a bit longer than the stock motor
Esc is about the same size
Almost exactly the same but i think it has a bigger fan on the max8
Takes forever dl my yt unboxing
I have one, was on my Raider, now on my Vorteks.
I'm a noob, less than a year experience, and in my limited exposure, it's been reliable and powerful.
It was turning a 4550 motor, now turning a 5400 and still gong strong.
