It would just be easier if people would say 2017 Outcast or 2018 Outcast.
From what I remember the differences between the 2017 and 2018 models are as follows.
- Updated shocks with 4mm shock shafts, longer stiffer springs, and shock protectors.
- Reinforced HD bulkheads.
- Redesigned chassis braces
- Stiffer servo mount
- Larger receiver box
- Updated steering knuckles(they list as a different part number from the 2017 model
2018 Outcast springs are just a bit stiffer than the tekno orange springs. No need to upgrade springs with these new shocks.
Why wouldn't they? The outside of the shocks are the same dimensions.as I asked above, does anyone know if the new springs fit the old shocks?
Because they work with 4mm shock shafts instead of 3.5mm. Only difference in the shock bodies that I am aware of is the hole for the shock shaft.Didn't know if the shocks got bigger otherwise why are they different part numbers?
The shock body as well otherwise the shock shaft would wobble around really bad.The hole size is in the plastic end cap I thought.
