Speed Runners ~ How Fast Did You Go Today?

My amateurish attempt on reading this log.
Hard to tell the colors but follow the ripple line. It jumps up around 326s together with a big bump in motor HP output but, during full throttle, the ripple is down below 1V and almost negligible i.e. this has nothing to do with your high speed result. Only when a change in throttle occurs it become an issue.

Some possibilities and you know what changes were made between this issue and prior.
Gearing change? I heard no = eliminated
How ESC transfers power during lower throttle. - Firmware is a good guess.
Wiring intermittent? - No, it's solid evidenced by low ripple under full throttle.
CAP pack = Since caps really act as filters and it's all about timing, did you lengthen the wires or added connectors to the cap pack? That would change things up a bit.

You mentioned running with PP?, no idea how it transmits signals but wonder if it increases in a small stepping manner i.e. constant small increments in throttle that the ESC interprets as small incremental jumps that result in higher noise i.e. ripple. Probably can't see it on the log due to the low logging frequency. Higher capacity might fix that.

That's all I have for now, hope it helps.

No didn't lengthen any wires, ran today without PP and no change, logging frequency is set to the highest rate at 10x per second as well. Firmware is a possibility as it was without latest update somehow, also as @LibertyMKiii said could be I'm maxed out RPM wise for the gearing so going to step pinion up 2 teeth for next pass. But at this point it seems either the ESC or motor as pretty much everything else has been ruled out.

So you were running on the older firmware?
Nope has new delta update
NEW PB. 131MPH .going to New spot ta stretch it out some

Not related to your motor sound issue, but just wanted to remind you of the importance of a smooth throttle pull all the way through. You got trigger-happy at the end and went from about 70% throttle to 100% in half a second. That caused a pretty big voltage drop, and amps went from under 200A to over 350A in that half second. It’s hard but practice makes perfect!

Sent burnt xlx2 back to CC,it take some time to get back so back so in went the mmx8s.just ordered another xlx2. 2 new 90c 5000mah packs tp4050CM -2300kv.27/34.131mph pb in short run.chargeing an going to longer road ,trying to beat the rain moving in🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Gotta DEAL ON EBAY on these yowoo graphene packs.mislabeled really 6000mah traxxas plug.throw some bullets on um an rip.60$ each

Damn that sucks bro! Sorry about the bad luck recently I know you'll get something back together and hopefully pull some more PB's.

That is quite impressive! Usually they bend the other direction. Sorry about the ouch. 😟

Hit 94mph in Spare Parts today on a good 3 second full throttle pull, but we accidentally turned off the GPS app before sceeenshotting it, so it prolly doesn't count. Im ok either way. I have no doubt his car will get over 100 with a little love. It's been getting more squirrelly to drive the last couple days, so I think I'll strip it down. I've been putting off maintenance on this little cutie for too long. It ran through ice and snow all winter (truggified), so I'm sure my bearings are rusty af. The recent 89mph tomahawks into the ditch have "customized" my alignment too. I also noticed some minor flesh wounds to the chassis-

I'll give it some fresh bearings, realign the suspension, and maybe balance the wheels before I make another big push. I'll likely put together a spool for s's and g's, too. What could possibly go wrong!

I got out to my spot this morning at 7:15 and made a short pull to 87mph on 8s just to see how the car tracked. Noticed the steering felt ultra sensitive and turned the servo speed down some, checked the alignment and made a small adjustment on the left rear.
2nd pass was a full pull to set a new PB of 129mph.

Oooo so close to 130 so I let the car cool down for about 10min and checked everything over as the steering was still twitchy throughout the entire run.

Here’s where everything turned to 💩

Got into full throttle way late after making a bunch of low speed steering corrections on my way to full throttle and just as I hit 100% it drifted right and caught the edge of the grass flipping it about 20’ up in the air end over end landing at the edge of a field.
