In my 50s now and do not have my BMX bike anymore. Xmas, I would get the cheap Murry or Huffy bikes from K-Mart that just broke apart...heavy. One year in the 7-8th grade, I was able to make a cool trade for a silver Diamondback BMX bike with white mag wheels (for those who remember trading stuff back in the day)... Had all the gadgets you saw on BMX bikes like the movies that came out in the 80s.

I jumped to the moon with it and just like today with my RCs I would clean it in my room just to get it dirty again...power sliding, Bonny hops over tall objects at full speed, standing on front spinning the body....Yeah, I enjoyed it until I started driving at 16-17 and gave it away to my cousin.

That's a rad collection of vintage BMX but I'm more interested in the Syclone. Just watched Tony Angelo build his version of one on the YouTube. Thing rips.

I still ride my BMX, I'm not a skilled rider, some wheelies, curb hops, practice stuff, but never been very skilled. I still ride mine though.

I don't have anything extremely valuable, but I enjoy them all the same.

Got the Mach One in 98 for my birthday to replace the department store bikes. I set it up for a bit of freestyle which can still be seen in the photo, but I put it mostly back to original.

Pic from 98 when me and a neighbor kid would race around the neighborhood.

Saved this Dyno from the scrapyard early 2019. I pickup / haul scrap on occasion for extra cash, and seen this in the shred pile. Some of the scrappers will scrap any metal they get.

This was after cleaning some rust off the chrome, swapping cranks, gryo cable, brake levers etc. I think I put some GT alloy petals on since this photo.

Also have this 2001 GT Bestwick Pro. Traded a 2001 GT Power Series 0.5 for it as I wanted a GT freestyle at the time. Photo from when I just picked it up years ago, it's been hanging in the garage since. It is a heavy SOB.

Seen trash pile in a neighborhood where I use to live, the people had moved, and this old 80's Ross Pirahna was at the bottom of the pile, dug it out and plan to fix it up eventually, but haven't gotten to it yet. It's a decent frame set.

Also trash picked this late 90's Huffy Delirium a few years ago. This was when Huffy was making some decent race bikes, the Delirium was lower to mid level out of the line up at the time, but decent alloy frame and 4130 parts.

A wheel set I built up to put on a 90's ELF PRO AXL frame to take to the local track, not done with the project so no photos of it.

The ELF when I bought it off Offerup some years back (it's a 96 ELF Pro XL aluminum frame). Whoever painted it smoothed some of the welds which is a bummer, but alas it still a nice frame.

Nothing special, but yeah, I still love BMX.

Had a HARO sport
And a mongoose FS1 back when Mongoose bikes were actually Mongoose bikes !!!!!
Trying to teach the oldest how to do an Endo is like trying to teach em to walk again !! Lol
It’s very natural for me
And he’s beginning to get it ….
Kids are too worried about Xbox , IPad , you tube chit anymore.
It’s nuts really .

I started riding before the first bmx diamond frame was released. Feel like a real geezer now! I have ridden almost every major brand and broken more than I care to think about. I tended to favor Redline for racing and Haro for freestyling. So many bikes that I miss, SE Quad Angle, Kuwahara Bravo KT, Hutch Trickstar, and on and on.

I was on a local freestyle team for several years, we did lots of shows for things like store openings, state fair, boy scout jamboree, etc. Tons of great memories, that was my whole life for three decades. I finally gave up riding around 10 years ago, my knees just cant take it anymore. I still dream about riding, skateparks feature in a lot of those dreams.

You guys brought back some memories for me!! This was back in 1983. I was 15. I raced out at shorum bmx racr track,Suffolk county longisland. Did a lot of quarter pipe riding on a ramp a bunch of us made ourselves.

Last concert I went to was 2007 December 23, Ozzy and Rob Zombie at Madison Square Garden. Maybe 9 or 10 concerts total.
