I regretted selling mine too now I own 8! They’re a lot of fun

We gotta keep the nitro spirit alive and thanks 😀
I mainly run nitro of other brands lol. Always ran nitro since I was a kid. Wish arrma would come around and build one :D sorry to have jacked your thread. You've got some amazing builds here.

Some more work done to the Schumacher Fusion

Added foam tires!

Looks a lot better imo and should handle better

I’ve also gotten rid of the purple screws and instead put washers and an aluminum servo horn

I changed out the air filter for an O2 Max setup, I felt the quality of the foam was better

I also changed out the gears on the 3 speed transmission for these black ones. No reason other than aesthetics

And of course new stainless screws, new wheels, new fuel tank. I’m working on painting a body for it but won’t be done for a while

Re-shimmed the head button, added aluminum shock seal housing and did a full rebuild on the dampers with new o-rings and pistons so they shouldn’t leak anymore. New springs and a Novarossi manifold

I’m also working on a new body

I haven’t posted in a while as I’ve been busy and haven’t been able to mess with any RC stuff lately. But I got around to finding some time to restore this vintage HPI Super Nitro RS4

It has a seized engine, gummed up fuel tank and carb, single speed transmission, rotted old tires, 1 non functional shock from another model car, wrong front bumper from another model car, wrong rear body post location, and tons of dirt, oil and filth.

I’ll be using some really rare vintage parts for the basis of this build, starting with this 20 year old Powerline lightweight chassis still sealed in original packing.

I also have a stock pile of rare Powerline control arms for it

As well as some custom purple carbon fiber shock towers.

I started assembling the new chassis and rear end components first. New aluminum upper and lower control arms, new aluminum knuckles, purple carbon fiber Y brace, installed a 2 speed transmission, installed correct rear body posts, new carbon upper deck, new stainless hardware and I found the correct front bumper for a super nitro.

I got lucky I had a package of aluminum standoffs that worked perfectly for supporting the upper deck as it did not come with any. For anyone wondering they’re 30mm length.

Next I proceeded to rebuild and clean the front diff and suspension components. New arms of course, but this time I added an aluminum Powerline Racing lower front bulkhead.

Changed out the hexes for brake discs, and a new Kyosho fuel tank fit perfectly.

Added the correct shock absorber for a Super nitro, a nice twin tip CPV tuned pipe and color matched antenna tube.

And for the body I’m going with a C5 Corvette from TBG. I trimmed it, just need masks to be ready for paint.

Wow long time since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been working on the nitros just not sure if anyone is interested in seeing any updates. I know this mainly a Arrma/electric forum.

Alright I’ll keep it short and just share the highlights

I just about completed everything I wanted to do with the rs4-3
