Kraton What esc and motor combo

I see the HW specs. Strange that HW only specs the max 6 (8s ESC) for this 6s max 4985 motor. Got ya.
So why wouldn't a max 8 (6s)work as an alternative ESC to this motor?? A different question altogether.
I am sure many have run this motor on 8s already. Despite HW's lipo spec. limit.

Im with ya. Idk why a 6s limitation on the 4985 either. I just didn't want to make a public recommendation to someone, who's knowledge and experience level is unknown to me, to ignore the manufacturers published specs.. that's all.
I too have wondered if/why not a max8 with this motor or say a rocket 4092(on 6s)?..

This suggests why not..give it a try. The link I posted w/discount is the best price I found.
Plu is that HRP IS an authorized HW seller.
If you look on HW website, they list some of whom are NOT..ie amazon, or most of aliexpress..some peeps don't care I'm sure but it's nice to know if items shiw up DOA. Just my .02
