(Sorry if this has been asked before)

What is the difference between a 1650Kv 4292 motor versus the 1650Kv 4274 motor?

(Besides the 18mm!)

Look at the wattage comparisons, if efficiencies are equal the higher rated motor will generate more power.

746Watts ~1 Horsepower

Besides the power output, they will obviously weigh different amounts. Depending on the rig and your goals, that may or may not matter for what you are wanting.
If you are looking at Hobbystar, the 4292 is 506 grams and the 4274 is 380 grams. The 4282 gives you an in between option at 440 grams. I had a 4282 on my Typhon and it was PLENTY of power, really just wanted something that would run cooler than stock and it did. If you have big speed running goals you may want more. I have the 4292 on an XLWB 6s rig and its perfect.

I agree, I'm running a 4092 (1650kv) in a kraton xl. It's a great motor for it. I have also used the 4092 in a Mojave and Kraton 6s (stock). I felt it was a bit much in those. 4282 is a nice upgrade from a 4274 for stock sized 6s rigs I think. Too big a motor just upsets handling for me. Others will surely disagree, but I prefer handling over speed for my use.

I definitely suggest a longer can than 1515. I use a 1520(4289) 1650kv. Using a 1521 aka 4092 or a 1800kv 1518 or 1717 1650kv will all pump out a lot more power than a 1515(4074), basically anything bigger than a 4074 can be geared higher, use higher voltage batteries and still run cooler. I’ve never seen my 1520 1650kv get over 140F and i have also never can get it to max speed because my kraton is a basher so when it hit 90mph the wheels exploded lmao.
