What he saidMore terq, more powaaa!
Cooler running if geared the same in the same truck.
I agree, I'm running a 4092 (1650kv) in a kraton xl. It's a great motor for it. I have also used the 4092 in a Mojave and Kraton 6s (stock). I felt it was a bit much in those. 4282 is a nice upgrade from a 4274 for stock sized 6s rigs I think. Too big a motor just upsets handling for me. Others will surely disagree, but I prefer handling over speed for my use.Besides the power output, they will obviously weigh different amounts. Depending on the rig and your goals, that may or may not matter for what you are wanting.
If you are looking at Hobbystar, the 4292 is 506 grams and the 4274 is 380 grams. The 4282 gives you an in between option at 440 grams. I had a 4282 on my Typhon and it was PLENTY of power, really just wanted something that would run cooler than stock and it did. If you have big speed running goals you may want more. I have the 4292 on an XLWB 6s rig and its perfect.
