Was wondering if anybody could help me with my issue I seem to be having after performing the latest firmware update. Firmware update went through with no issues during flashing period.
After the update last night I followed my normal steps to set the bed leveling as shown in the official Creality page.
When I ran the Aux level to start the bed leveling process the nozzle was way higher than the print bed, at the point where the print nozzle was over 5 mm away from the print bed not allowing me to set the bed mesh manually. Once I saw this I turned off the printer and added some spacers to the print bed to help raise it just ever so slightly. I ran the Aux level again and it was slightly better with a -4.95mm Z offset. Before the firmware update my Z offset was around -3.95 to -3.85 depending on the filament I was using. I set the bed mesh manually by moving to the 4 corners and using my feeler gauge to get the right distance from the nozzle to the print bed. From there I ran the automatic bed leveling. At the end of the process it returned to its normal position but pushed the bed down significantly to the point where the new z offset was -2.85.
Normally at the end of the automatic bed leveling process the Z offset will be pretty close to where I set it manually through the aux bed leveling process. I have since kept it at -2.85 but fear that if I run the ABL process again I am going to run into the same issues, not being able to reach the print bed with manual adjustment and my extruder slamming into my print bed. I tried this process a couple of more times and it came back with similar results changing my Z offset from anywhere to -2.0 to -2.85. I tried it without the additional spacer and with the original spacers and also get the same result. Was this how it is supposed to be done and I have been doing it wrong the whole time? Hope this makes sense and thanks for reading my long post.
I currently have it @ -2.85 z offset and running a benchy to see how it goes.
