Senton Different pinion or not...

Newby pinion question...

I want to install the Louise MT Rocket. Do i need to change the pinion? I have a senton 4x4 V3 (all stock) I have a metal spur 91 and 17, 19 and a 21 pinion (out of a granite) as extra. What would you recommend? Stay stock or change?(See photo for size difference)

I’d do a smaller pinion with the bigger tire.

Monitor your temps on the motor and ESC.

BIGGER pinion on BIGGER tire! No, just kidding. HA HA Like everyone else says, smaller pinion on bigger tire. But, also do what @Tex Koder says. Watching your temps won't hurt.

2 teeth down in your case would harm.

I am also running a smaller pinion with these wheels.

All thnx for the response. I'll put in a smaller pinion. I'll order a few sizes. The pinions from the granite won't find, as I found out motor shaft is bigger then from the granite(think it was the brushed version, wasn't fitted with a motor when I bought it on a marketplace)
