Local guy here is at 450$ for his used kraton and I'm considering it ... Only thing is I know him and I don't like the guy, so.... probably will let this one pass. But if I could get it for 200$, I would probably try to send my wife to buy if from him

That’s a great price, even if is some parts would need to be replaced. For USD 200 you’d have yourself a nice project! You could always decide to sell it afterwards if you don’t really need it.

I a v3 or v4 anything that is wrong with that version has to go so that adds to the selling pric

Yup. Ad wasn't even up 2 hours.

I swear it just jumped itself into my truck.

After a quick visual inspection.
2 7000mah "100c" 3s Zee lipos.
Rpm a arms.
Rpm wing mount.
GPM chassis braces.
GPM suspension mounts.
Body is a little beat up, I have another one.
Chassis is bent a little bit in a few spots, not enough to make me care.(I'll get back to the chassis a little more in detail later.)
Battery tray is missing most of the screws, I have a spare one that has been modded with m3 t nuts.
One broken front cvd, I have a spare pair.
A bunch of loose screw screws.
Missing the spacers for the upper a arms at the hinge pins and just has a few washer placed in there. I have some of those.
Part of the wing is missing.
T2T brace looks bent.
TRX Turnbuckles? Pretty sure I have a pair.
And it is a little dirty.

He also tossed in a ramp!

As @Tex Koder would say, that kraton was either going to be a Dumpster Fire or a Diamond in the rough.

Looks like somewhere in between so far. But for $200, ain't half bad.

I'm probably just going to replace things that need to be replaced with stock components from Jennys. Keep this one as might "light" duty basher.

So far the worst thing about the car is the STX2 radio.

Got it tore all down and so far the only thing that I will be missing is the T2T brace and I will most likely need a few bearings. All the plastic and aluminum parts are sitting in a simple green bath at the moment.

All 3 diffs are in decent shape no stripped teeth, no signs of major wear they just need a refresh as the center diff had been leaking and the front diff desperately needs outdrives.

The front chassis brace screw hole is stripped out......... I could probably still use it if I use a lock nut under it. I really need to get a tap set so I can just make it a 4mm screw. I do have a plastic one that I can use for the time being.

3 of the 4 shocks have Traxxas rod ends on them one of which is bent.

Center and rear diffs look brand new the front outdrives look old as hell.

Found a few diamonds in the rough though. Voltage Hobbies servo mount and a carbon fiber ackerman.

I'm trying to do this build without buying anything and so far I have met that goal.

This is where I am so far.

Rear diff rebuild, rear diff filled with 10k, all new screws, Tekno shocks, Voltage Hobbies rear shock tower and the blue had to go.

Almost ready to rip. Still in zero dollars but I need a receiver the one that was in the car had the wire pinched between the RX box and chassis, not like I wanted to use the STX2 anyway.

Today's plans.
Fix this mess.

Then play Zelda.

I say go for it.
Personally I never buy doubles of any rigs anymore. I have too many here and no more room.
But in this case, $200. in just parts alone is great for you.
