Initial idea was short wheelbase chassis and 53/107 hoons that quickly escalated after finding Raz Shifrin's videos. Now that it's a roller I'll share the progress. I know the dual motors is unnecessary but I wanted to do it for the novelty and challenge. First motor and ESC get delivered today and I'll begin the layout of the left side electronics. Pictures of my TLR Typhon included for comparison.
Concept: dual motor short wheelbase street car with (mostly) all arrma parts and minimal modification.
High level parts list:
-Limitless roller
-EXB short wheelbase chassis
-Mojave arms
-Axles driveshafts and braces that are correct for the chassis and arms.
-EXB servo mount
-2x castle 1717 1650kv motors
-2x MMX8S controllers
-Perfect Pass servo
-Perfect Pass battery tray side skirts
The things that needed to be modified:
-chassis had to be drilled for the 3rd hole on the front motor mount
-spool cover brace had to get trimmed to fit over the front motor mount
-with 2 spur gears they each had to get cut down .035" and use protek 8x12 shims to space them off the outer bearing races. The spool shaft also needed new flats for the set screws
-the front chassis brace will most likely need to move to fit the motor and clearanced for the front driveshaft.
-the battery trays are meant for a limitless/infraction so they had to get cut down and redrilled for the SWB chassis length and bolt pattern.
-limitless body is hacked down to fit. Still needs some final work
