Add some fans .and drive slowI have a leopard 1480 kV , ezrun max 6 ESC running 2x 3 cell 5500mha at 80c in a exb Mojave on 22/50 gears and the motor gets hot , can anyone help?
I'm not a fan of rocket fans but I would go with 40 mm dual fans run them separately from a 500 mah lipo with a on / off switch in lineWhat's better, 1x 50mm rocket fan or 2x 40mm rocket fans?
He said ,motor gets hotWhat's "hot"?
What's "hot"?
Yes, I can read, thank you English Major. He said ,motor gets hot

Again, to those 2, what's "hot"?

You have two options my friend. You can gear down with a smaller pinion or you can improve cooling with upgraded fans.I have a leopard 1480 kV , ezrun max 6 ESC running 2x 3 cell 5500mha at 80c in a exb Mojave on 22/50 gears and the motor gets hot , can anyone help?
What would you recommend for fan(s)?I'm not a fan of rocket fans but I would go with 40 mm dual fans run them separately from a 500 mah lipo with a on / off switch in line

(sorry for hijacking this topic, but I think OP can use this info too)
I don’t agree. That motor is just fine for running 6S in that truck.Best option would be to gear down a lot and run 8s.
Your motor is just too slow for 6s.
You are free to do so, but on 6s the motor is not even going to be spinning at 37k rpm, more like 30k under load.I don’t agree. That motor is just fine for running 6S in that truck.
I run 1260kv in my kraton. You are free to do so, but on 6s the motor is not even going to be spinning at 37k rpm, more like 30k under load.
That’s far from optimal and is causing his heat issues.
Motor spins too slow, he gears up, motor pulls more amps than it should, it gets hot.
I think 6 50mm fans stacked on that motor should solve his heating issuesYou are free to do so, but on 6s the motor is not even going to be spinning at 37k rpm, more like 30k under load.
