Good morning guys!
Hope y’all had a great weekend!

Bought a dirty beat up Typhon 6s
As soon as I saw this I thought this could be my first project!
Im just learning somethings
Words that once sounded foreign are now starting to make some sense

Was trying to figure out which version/model this is thinking it’s v4 but want to be sure.

Im very excited to tear this thing down and clean up and put back together!

Already have a stretched Typhon ...so
Thinking I’m going to Trugify this one!

Thank you guys!
Here’s pics

Thanks guys!

From researching (watching unboxing videos) 😁 I think it’s V4 also!

Pretty excited about that as I was told by the guy who sold me this, that it was a V2

I got the Typhon the Controller and a pretty new perfectly balanced Lectron pro 3s for 100$

The body is great shape...only thing Its missing is the center diff housing
I Threw a battery in and the diff housing on from my stretched Typhon and everything seemed to work properly and it even sounded pretty good!

Started tearing it down was pretty easy now I just hope I can get it all back together!! 😁.

Can’t beat that! Nice find, wish I was that lucky!

$100 is a steal! Nice one..
the 3d blueprints (blow up) drawings are a huge help if you get lost putting it back together… they have them available at arrma website 👍🏻👌🏻
Absolutely!!!! I got into disassembling a new typhon 6s v5 a few weeks ago, and I guess I got carried away, cause next thing I knew I had a frame in hand lol and a table or 2 full of parts. 😂 it became overwhelming real fast. But I pushed through and those exploded views really helped especially with which type of screws to use where. Lol

It's easy to get ahead of yourself! Nice score. (y)

When I see that transmitter....
My transformed Typhon v4 to Krayphon has that transmitter too. It's laying so bad in my hands, they used them only by the v4 models I think.
Soon I replace him

But enjoy your Typhon👊

I just truggified my v5 Typhon with the c10 chevy body. He's awesome 👌

Thanks guys!
I’ve got overwhelmed just changing a servo 😁
Very thankful for the exploded view!

Had a couple questions
Notice some rust on driveshafts and few other things
Do I have to change those or can I maybe clean and oil/grease them for now

Hoping I can use the car as is until I have to upgrade
Rust

Scrub them with an old toothbrush and some WD40. They should clean up nice. Keep them coated in WD40 going forward.

Thank you jondilly1974!

I’ve read many people on here will hose their cars off dry them and then spray them down with WD-40

I was thinking about doing that on this one since all the electronics are off

Do you think that’s ok

Yep I use the silicone based version myself but others use normal WD40. I don’t care for the smell of the standard version. I do use it for other things, but prefer the silicone version to spray down my trucks after a wash.

To be honest, I haven’t gotten mine muddy since last year, so it’s been a while since I sprayed them down. Might just do that tomorrow while it’s raining cats and dogs.

Thank you so much!!

Love to see some rain..it’s 110 degrees here!!🤯

I think I’m going to grab the silicone WD!

Are there Any parts I should NOT get WD on

Sorry so many questions sir

Really do appreciate you guys!

You should avoid rubber surfaces. Supposedly the silicone spray isn’t good for rubber. I still use it on my tires tho because they don’t last long anyways and never get to live long enough to dry rot.

Thank you sir!!

I don’t go through tires like that....yet!!

Looks like only rubber would be the tires and rubber around the shocks?

Was going to look up videos but I know you are definitely an expert at this !!
I have never oiled or lubricated my RCs yet
Was wondering what areas to lubricate and what lubricant you recommend

I purchased this one off Amazon
And also order the original 3-1 oil

Thank you

That’s the exact bearing oil I have. Seems to work great.
