If Upgrade brands start to support this Promoto, then it's probably a sign of its continued success.
I am sure many Upgrade Brands are following this RC bike very closely right now, and deciding whether to support it or not with their own Option parts.
But even they know that RC bikes are a fad. Come and go.

The first upgrade brand to jump aboard, usually makes the $killing$. Especially if it enhances performance and/or durability.
It appears that the many Losi option parts are just mere bling, with no real performance enhancement. Just added weight and bling, if anything? The rear Alloy Trailing arm alone is very $$$.
This Promoto looks to be a very nice $shelf queen$ conversation piece must have if anything, and if that is how you fly. With a wallet to match.

the wifey saw a video on this and thought it was so cute and funny she kind of wants one now. she's all like "imagine if we both had one and went to the track! it would be hilarious!" I'm not sold 😂

Agreed.. I'll be watching from the sidelines I think. If it really takes off with real upgrade support, maybe on sale I'd buy🤷‍♂️ I do feel as though it's gonna burn out rather quickly but who knows.. really cool conversation piece though.

If someone makes stronger rims for it to stand up to all those hard landings, that would great, but that would probably be pretty spendy.
I agree. Imagine making matching wheels out of Billet. $Ouch$
It's all to easy to make it super heavy, IMHO. The foot pegs appear to be a problem. Maybe the Alloy upgrades are needed??? The fix or not? IDK.
I also think the 1/4 scale realism of the Promoto is what sways most to want one. Or for that typical Biker/moto guy that is also into RC'ing. The quasi connection in regards. Riding a bike and driving this Rc one are way 2 different things.
Losi is marketting this thing hard.
Their many HH/ Losi "how to" videos are spoon feeding all the many Upgrade parts for it. They will never mention the Price of the parts however, and what if any performance benefit there is. Basically none.
I wonder when JennysRC will start getting them in ?
If they even think it is worthy of kitbreaking them? Jennys RC knows what is popular and is not. What butters their bread.
All the Option parts will put you easily over $1k. Alloy Trailing arm alone is $100.00. And No Option parts available yet. Even the 2 bikes are backordered or preorderable. That scares me. Possibly Putting the cart before the horse? A quick push to market ahead of any real inventory. Only the Paid Influencers getting them. Typical hype pushing. All the LHS's as well. Nothing new.
And then there is the Spektrum Lipo Smart Eco thing going on there.....(n)

Just thinking out loud if I really want or need this in my RC collection.
I'll let the dust settle first.

$100 for the first person to get it to legit 100mph (not as a passenger in a car). 🤘

Offer valid for the next 30 days :ROFLMAO:
I've already been looking at what TpPower motors will fit in it..😉🤣🤣

I was doing the same. Also looked at some Cordova motors. The stock motor is a 3652 I think which I'm guessing means 36mm diameter with 52mm length. Here are some Cordova motors that should fit. I tried to pick KVs that were close to stock for each of the 3 sizes. Some of these can handle up to 5S and there were many other options with much higher KVs in the 2S range. Don't know how that would effect the flywheel motor but it would be nice to see if the bike could handle the jump in power from an upgraded motor.

Here's a chart with most of the Cordova motors listed and grouped by size. (https://www.yourbatterybuddy.com/motors-esc/cordova-motors.html) The 1415, 1418 and 1421 are the closest in size to the stock motor.

I'm sure one of you guys could wire in a buck converter to run the flywheel at its stock voltage while pushing more volts to some crazy motor setup

I’d bet a 3D printed, solid disc wheel made from nylon would do the trick.

No not at all lol. My first thought was same as yours like 3d parts are weak but then I remembered 3drc stuff and had to respond
No worries, I don't have alot of 3d experience myself. I may be off on my statement. I should have said that I wasn't impressed by the strength of "my" 3d printed parts,LOL.
I've been wanting to show @3d-rc.myshopify.com some love but, I haven't been able to break the Arrma parts yet..🤷‍♂️🤭🤣🤣

Maybe? I've yet to be impressed by 3d printed parts when it comes to strength.🤷‍♂️
3D parts are fantastic for the right application, with the right material type, and printed properly.

3D parts are terrible when someone gets any of those three things wrong.
