  1. Typhon 6s
Hi everyone,

I had a set of proline badlands MX M2 recently come apart on my Typhon 6s. I’ve re-glued them multiple times. I’ve had them less than a year and used them maybe 7 runs. The treads are barely worn.

Does anyone have recommendations for off road tires that won’t come apart on 6s speed?

Thanks!

$29 Amazon specials, have about a dozen packs through these with 60mph tire speeds on 6S. 16/46 gearing, usually take the time to balance off road tires but just bolted these on and have been extremely impressed.

Staying with buggy tires the badland buggy tires should work well. If you wanted to go a little wider the belted 2.8 badlands are nice, but you will probably have to get some hex extenders or swap to kraton hubs and stub axles/hex.

my proline badlands mx have been fine on my old 6s vorza buggy not had to glue them once

gluing tires is a part of the hobby and something you will always have to do no matter the tire unless it's bead locked.

Well said.

@arrma-noob those badlands are the best buggy tires on the market. I doubt you’ll be happier by switching to something else.

What glue do you use? And what’s your process?

Hi Garcbomber, thanks! what exactly are those tires?
Hobbyfire and others sell them (4) and come pre-glued, Pooline is laughable at $40 per pair.

Here’s my full Mojave-armed Typhon setup when needing more air control and stability(13x13 square), dr8 mod wheels

The Mojave tires (dBoots Fortress) work great off road for a 6S Typhon. They're a good size and don't balloon too bad despite not being belted. If you stay in the buggy sized range check out the PowerHobby Belted Raptor and/or Armor. Another good buggy tire is the Jetko Tomahawk.

I use the proline racing glue that comes with the 2 yellow tips. I just clean the surfaces and apply glue to the tire and wheel. Any other recommended glue or process? Thanks!

Check out Bob Smith IC2000 glue. It’s the best stuff out there.

For recurring glue issues I’ll sand the wheel where it meets the tire. Then clean and glue. That seems to help.
