So I live literally 20 feet from the pacific ocean so in a few months everything will be snowed over and the rocky coast will be ice covered. Now last year I didn't really prep my rigs for the snow and didn't even run them on ice (no wonder they're broken now) but this year I'm gonna take care of them. What do yall do to prep them for arctic driving?

Stuff breaks so much easier in very cold temps. All plastics become much more brittle and can potentially break in way smaller impacts than you experience in warm weather. I’ve given it up in my extreme New England winters. I got tired of rebuilding the cars after every outing in extreme cold temps. Just not worth it to me.

I tape or otherwise seal up any holes inside the wheels that's about it for my preparations. Bearings will likely be sacrificed to snow/water so plan on replacing those for next season. No way I'm missing out on snow bashing, winter is too long to put em away IMO. Believe it or not, I jump my rigs way more during winter than summer. Snowbanks make awesome jumps, powder snow is perfect "cushion" for huge air😉👌😎

I allways use fast Eddie sealed bearings cause I've heard those are better. Also are studded tyres a thing for rc cars?

I usually buy TRB bearings, but I've used Eddies, Avid..never really noticed a difference in them. Only studded tires I've seen are Rovan 1/5 scale. Paddles sure work nice in powder or loose snow. I just put my biggest knobbies on and have at it. Xmaxx is an awesome snow basher, big tires and lightweight are a good recipe for snow I find.

Get women's stockings. Cut off the feet with enough room to fit a lipo battery. Tie a knot in the end of the remaining part of the leg. Doing this for at least 3 layers will keep your lipos nice and warm for protection from the cold.
