Hey man! Yea I’ve seen your amazing build in the scroll photos on the front page.. absolutely stunning!

I was thinking like a max8 combo, till I can get my hands on one I have a mamba monster 2 esc and a rocket 4082 1730kv motor I was gonna use temporarily. Hopefully that’ll have enough power for me… was thinking the 2200 of the max8 combo would zip it up a bit.. that mixed with the typhon gearing I reckon it’ll be a hoot!
Max 6 and 1650kv is a great combo for this platform. Will even take 8s.
One recommendation I would make is ditch the front bumper in favour of the RPM bumper paired with the Hot Racing skid plate. That's almost bulletproofing your front end. My threads have a long trail of destruction attesting to its effectiveness.

And a mini update… got my powerhobby bulkheads.. they look to be a solid piece. Everything is going together ok. I do not care for their stainless hardware or their metal shielded bearing that they come with. So I’ll use my black oxide screws and I replaced the bearing with a trb bearing

Is this the same as Hot Racing's? Never knew PH did one. 3 pieces to complete?

Yea they are similar to the hot racing ones.. a touch cheaper.. but at least the HR ones come with oxide screws and a rubber sealed bearing 🤷🏻‍♂️ Time will tell how they hold up. And I don’t think these have a sway cover option either.

Thanks for the link. A closer look shows it's tapped, threaded, grooved and ready for sway cover. And looks like HR's would fit if that route is desired. I run a front end sway bar myself.

Yes sir, I just meant that I hadn’t seen a sway cover offered by PH. Hot racing ones or even stock would fit just fine 👍🏻

They look nice. How's the fit & finish?. Did one need more shimming than the other?

They are pretty decent. I’d still rather have HR over these tho. They seem kinda snug. No shims and the cover acts as a better holder than the hr ones.. the actual bulkheads felt a little different from one another but once the covers went on it was snug on both. Time will tell if they break in a bit and loosen up to be smooth. It’s just a little stiff but still rolls freely.
