When going from 4500 to 5400, the extra weight could be because it uses 2 cells in parallel vs a single cell. It appears the 4500 is 3S1P whereas the 5400 is 3S2P. That's how all my 2S packs from SMC are, the 7200/7400/9000 are all 2S2P. So, to get to the higher capacity, instead of using larger cells, he's doubling up smaller ones. Probably how they keep the cost down and quality/performance up on the higher capacity packs.Thanks for the pics. I have been trying to decide between two 3s packs or one 6s pack. It does seem like you save space/size with the one 6s, due to not needing 2 cases.
Also I was thinking the 7400mAh would be a but too big/heavy. Thoughts?
Edit: Looking at the SPC site, here are the following weights for the 6s packs:
4500mAh = 594gr /20.95oz ($80.95)
5400mAh = 805gr /28.4oz ($94.95)
7200mAh = 904gr /31.88oz ($124.95)
7400mAh = 976gr /40.56oz ($124.95)
That seems to be a rather large jump in weight between the 4500 and 5400. I am guessing the inclusion on the G10 plates are accounting for some of the extra weight.
I am leaning towards the 4500mAh I think. Just not sure the extra 900mAh are worth the extra weight.
