Thought I'd post some particulars on how I setup my Senton. My goal is not wheelie popping brute speed.
GoolRC 3650 3900kv with included 60amp ESC.
Robinson Racing hardened 22t pinion.
2s 5200mah Lipo
I have slotted the space between 17t and 27t mount holes on the motor mount bracket. I did this because the 17t pinion, while spirited, was just too slow. 27t made the truck a rocket. After a dozen runs, the 22t seems perfect for what I want.
I'm estimating mid 30mph. Motor temp is about 140f and 30 minutes of run.
The truck has been a blast on the track and backyard. The jumps on track are 1/8scale size ... There are several i get good air on. Have yet to break anything, including the rear input gear. Slipper Pads are set properly, and probably has alot to do with keeping it in one piece.
I've also slotted the chassis due to problems with debris grinding away at the spur gear. This has worked marvelously.
Hope this helps and provides info on what can be done with this Senton.
