A water main broke in downtown Vancouver, WA a few nights ago. A couple had turned off a main road onto a side street and the broken water main had weakened the ground so much a 12 foot sinkhole opened up as they drove onto it. If they had sunk 3 or 4 feet deeper they would have drowned. Yikes!

Holy flip! I'll bet they are still trying to warm back up, can't imagine being soaking wet in those temperatures. Of course I might have been warm for the first minute after wetting my pants.
