Just my opinion/answer to the title here.
I bought 2x 3s smart batteries since I was new to the hobby and was terrified of lipos since I had read many horror stories about them.
After a few months, one battery had really high IR on one cell, and the other one "lost" a cell.
Returned them, and got two new of the same.
Same story for those to. So I returned them and got my money back.
That's just my experience with them. They have ok punch tho, for my bashers.
