Jammed a 29t pinion on the Kraton by milling out the stock motor mount, mated to a 1200kv motor. Also put a 27t pinion in the Noto mated to a 1730kv motor. This is getting a little crazy but I love it!

Crazy..!!

Do you have another pic of the milled out motor mount from another angle, I'd like to see how much you milled it out ?
😉👍🏼

Can't now that it's back together. I milled the slot in the top towards the outside so I could fit both screws. Turns out my dremel kit had a small cylindrical milling bit. I just kept grinding it outwards until the screw fit with a tiny bit of gap so the mesh wasn't too tight.

Update on new power plant. Wow! 29t on 1250kv (sorry, I think I said 1200 before)6s with the MMX 8s esc is just ridiculous! Fast, torque for days and zero issues with heat. Able to launch it a full 20+ feet further off the same jump compared to the 27t. Way more speed approaching the ramp. I was told you can't run these low kv motors on 6s, but I disagree. I'm using a 6000 mah 100c 6s Ace of Gens battery and got a solid 18 minutes of romping in the snow. Put the 27t in the Noto on 1730 kv and it's absolutely squirrelly. Never thought I'd be the guy to start messing with other than stock motors, but these Hobbystar lower kv ones are the shizzle. Got a 1650 on route that I might throw in my Typhon 6s basher. Winter has never been more fun

Switched to Backflip Lp's for stability. What a difference

I just went to the backflips 6S .... what are you noticing with these as far as temps....please don’t convince me on the 4S LPs
I've been running Lp's on my Notorious for over a year now and never had an issue. It might be a little harder on the Kraton because of weight, so the suspension will have to do more work to compensate for the lower profile tire. Heat has never been an issue, but since it's floating around 0 Celsius here right now, I can't give you good info on how they might affect the Kraton

Done with the EXB chassis. Better than stock? Sure. Good enough for 50+ foot full sends at a BMX track? My dif cases and chassis braces will tell you it isn't.

Same result here. I ended up buying the Radical RC basher bar and it seems to be holding up. At the time M2C didn’t have an EXB compatible chassis. It wasn’t much less expensive either. Pretty sure the basher bar is a tad lighter than a full M2C chassis too, but I regret not waiting.

with the m2c chassis being thicker than stock does that change the hardware needed to install all the components? Or is it negligible and stock hardware will work?
They include a few of the necessary screws with the kit, but they drill the countersinks to accommodate stock hardware.

Arrma did this one right with almost all the necessary upgrades already added. 7075 chassis, braces & towers, beefed up arms & bumper, and the most exquisite difs. All I had to add was a BLX motor and esc, a Tactic radio, and one of those 25kg servos that everyone's been talking about for months now. So here it is.

Imagine being so famous that you can put you name at the beginning of your rc car

So after one year almost to the day, I've decided to retire the KEXB stock chassis and switch to an M2C one. Stock rear dif case just couldn't hold up to the twists in the stock chassis. While at it, I changed the rear case to Hot Racing and switched the rear tower with a new EXB one (the old one wasn't lining up on the new HR case). So this was about a 5 hour total job this morning including cleaning and rebuilding all three difs and drilling new holes for the M2C tower braces.

All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy 🤣🤘🏻 SEND IT!!!!

So after running with paddle tires for a day, I decided to make the switch sooner than later. 2050+BLX 185 gets too hot too often. This should do the trick. MMX 8s with a 1717/1650kv using a 23t pinion.

A pin on the Castle MMX8S that where the four wire lead attaches broke last weekend. Looks like it rusted out. Sent it back to Castle to see what they could do and in the meantime, I figured I'd drop this bad boy into the basher Kraton. Hobbywing Max 6 now powering the 1717/1650.
