Yeah, saw the Slash body come off a few times too. Not sure if it was Do RC or someone else. The straps do seem to work on the Xmaxx.. I gave my bro a large velcro strap for his Xmaxx, goes around the body and chassis. He has the "luggage rack" roof slider thingy on his X. The velcro goes under the rack, over the top of the body.People always praise the clipless system and tbh I thought it was amazing on the xrt at first too but then we had to start retrieving the body after every other jump and it got so gawd damn frustrating. Now have to wrap duct tape around the body if I want it to actually stay on. Luckily the xmaxx I bought used from here and it already had these tube strap thingies to keep the body on. I actually already saw a video where this max slash body was coming off already.
I will be so happy for the day someone figures out a clipless system that actually doesn't allow the body to pop off because the old school pins are ebola af.
I installed nylon round stock to the cage of my Xmaxx, under the body. Helps prevent the cage from flexing. Works well, but a hard tumble will pop the body still. I don't have luggage racks on my Xmaxx. Too "Clark W Griswold" looking IMO.
Agreed. I don't do much for jumping, but I like to see what they're capable of, especially at someone else's expense! Send it Brougham!!I agree with you to an extent but it really depends on the youtuber. Great durability for a normal person is one thing and I have to assume that's what they're talking about. Some of these people really send their rigs to the moon though and stock is obviously not going to keep up with that.
