After alot funds an crashs in my experience. Its frustrating yet addicting. Alot of thought, physics, science, experiments, big wallets an some big b*lls..well maybe not the last oneSo you guys just get cars going 130 mph like nothing???
Yes an 8mm gear can be used either way. Only time you have to be careful is if your spool needs the spacing a certain way and your gear is too wide. Otherwise you’re all good.OKAY I COULDN'T RESIST.about half charged packs.8s ..ran up to probly ,,,,little over half throttle then leaned into full throttle hard ,full throttle for about 1 sec.got a little squarely but strained out an went..my ole savox basher servo isn't wanting to come back to center so it was back and forth till I start laying into it harder then more strait.went to pull log an a day of 4s ripping and 0-40s had log full.this is very conservative gearing.the extra length seams to help as good as going stock typhon to kraton-typhon..seams more stable.more time to correct yourself when in trouble.w/o packs it weight 10lb 1oz.
I did just jump on the 2 infraction diffs.(gp5) jenny had left.kinda sucks cause earlier today I bought 2 pinions..38t an 42t....
Question:::::::::::can the 8mm pinion gears be used on the 8mm spool shaft an vise-versa????
Accidentally order titanium limitless sparking skid plate for front.bit more work to do to it..
I didn't spend 90$ on ceramic bearings to go ripp around parking lots.its a SPEEDCAR..I got some options if 8mm spools an pinions are compatible.got 2.8 diffs on way.ill get on tha gear calculator an gear for 160...that should realistically put me in the 120s..heres where I. At today

Another thing.........power...its different,I compare it to race motocross bikes...kraton-typhon mmx8s tp4050cm 2300kv. Cr250r 2 strokes.
Mojave-typhon xlx2 5660 1460kv is crf450r 4-stroke.or 454 big block, 350 small block..
I'd guess motor temp 90 degrees maybe w/o a fan..xlx2 fan wasn't running.system not breaking a sweat....im very pumped to see when mostly all stock diffs can take..any guess on the weak link?1 small pull an it feels alpt different than other typhon.alot heavier, longer,an wider.speedrun time after new servo arrives
Most custom spool sellers are adding Saga 8mm pinions in their setups. So like JD said “yes”OKAY I COULDN'T RESIST.about half charged packs.8s ..ran up to probly ,,,,little over half throttle then leaned into full throttle hard ,full throttle for about 1 sec.got a little squarely but strained out an went..my ole savox basher servo isn't wanting to come back to center so it was back and forth till I start laying into it harder then more strait.went to pull log an a day of 4s ripping and 0-40s had log full.this is very conservative gearing.the extra length seams to help as good as going stock typhon to kraton-typhon..seams more stable.more time to correct yourself when in trouble.w/o packs it weight 10lb 1oz.

Let’er rip tater chipAlright I got body mount figured out..im going to try an be clear with what I've done with mounting body since not alot of info on anyone doing this.so with the typhon body there's not much room for everything, mostly 2×4s packs..on my other stretched typhon I had to raise body to clear upto 37mm tall packs an has worked..not perfect but works.mou t setup on this typhon will be adjustable.so on both my typhons I raised front mount useing center brace mount, which moves front mount forward about an inch...so I drilled another hole in front of stock hole...for the rears I used 90mm standoffs with longer than stock mounts that came off some arrma car.im so far from stock a couldn't give the 100% right answer on the exact standoff length needed.id guess a 95mm or 100mm would work with stock mounting locations. Unless it was done just like this.
ENDED UP BEING 3 FULLY ADJUSTABLE MOUNTS THAT FIT PERFECTLY AND VERY STURDY. I'd be glad to answer or help someone who wants to do this..

Don't push it if things aren't going smoothly. Looking to make some runs and drag hits this afternoon and I don't want the @Edough13 's pebble problem to turn into bad juju for this weekend. 1 bad wreck hurts, many is a bad omen. If we all start wrecking, it's on you @K-BASH ... No pressure or anything Really though, if you can't get a good pull in, don't tempt fate.Goood weekend for some testing & a new pb...dropping into the 50s today.hoping for calm morning tomorrow w/o wind.servo comes today.ordered taller gears 2 days ago.still haven't shipped.i only have 29t,34t,39tand a 40t diff in 8mm till gears arrive...gonna run other typhon an shot for a 140.then pull 39t out of it an try a 39/40 in XXL typhon this weekend.34/40 just isn't enough.on the clock meticulously going over xl.ive already got the full send butterfly stomach thing going on.pulled fans an hump pack for about 160 gram weight reduction

Costco has GoPros for super cheap, comes with lots of accessories, too.I here ya,when it rains it pours.up above 130 that fine line gets alot finer...I can't progress if I don't puush.ive done 2 passes in the 130s since the 137 pass.just light passes to stay in the groove an make sure was happy with things..everything felt good.only dropped from 40 diff to 39 spool, changed front shocks, removed fan an small pack.so I planned on taking the long way home after work to a more remote location an doing 1 more test pull.if all good,20 min cool down the full send...I honestly expect 139-141 with a clean 3800-4200ft run.be off work around 1.just see how the day plays out..1 bad feeling an ill pull the plug on the pass
My next investment is a good go-pro..getting to the record every pass stage...I hate worrying about anything else besides the run...
Wait till you all see my chopped up swb draggster I'm throwing together...I've be cutting the $hit outa everything.not pretty at all..dragsters don't need to be pretty, just fast..im hoping that weight an weight distribution help me outa the hole where its needed most for good #s.last night I was trying to figure out how to cut some material off chassis..it'll most likely be the worlds lightest 6s 1/8 arrma..if it don't break in half from power an no chassis braces.. I LOVE THIS HOBBY.Don't push it if things aren't going smoothly.
