Seriously dude, spinning your tires freely doesn't hurt your motor lololol, there is physics in your brain then actual physics apparently haha. The thing you don't realize is me and many others have been doing it for years. I have tons of videos of doing it over and over without hurting anything, and those same diffs are still in and working great.hopeless case....
self-righting destroys motors and drivetrains. no matter what way you look at it, it just isnt the logical thing to do. plus, walking is exercise.
Let me make it super easy lol.

And yes your right I did get banned on here at one point for the same thing. The odd thing about forums is im just laughing the whole time while apparently everyone else is actually upset. I just don't take offense or take it seriously.
Sorry but me and everyone I run with have tough skin and also love to be harsh on one another. Esp if our point is valid such as.... Duhh you can set something up to selfright cheap and easy and not worry about it breaking.
I will always rip on statements like "skateparks are overrated" ahh you don't have to go all out, they are super fun I didnt break a thing and had a blast.
And "self-righting feature is an absolutely stupid idea" Ahh dirt cheap setup to do it without breakage.
You and I both know that people love to come into other peoples threads and point out what they don't like and call it dumb. And they hate it when they get blowback. And come on the Jesse Ventura quote was a riot haha.
I do agree on that!! And i definitely don't excuse my own behavior!! I am kinda an ass but i mean well and am used to massive banter.I self right my Fireteam all the time on the stock diffs Idgaf. The body was like it was made to be self righted as it practically does it itself. Bug bodies also work extremely well.
That being said. There is a right way and wrong way to go about things on forums. Acting like a complete tool, calling others names, personally attacking and or threatening them is usually not the best route. I constantly have to remind myself that just because you think it doesn't mean you should say it.
i didnt mean to hate on anybody. i just think self-righting is one of the best ways to kill your car. if i offended anybody ill just shut up and leave.Sir.
So why the hate?
I believe all he's stating is.. that it can be done with 'proper' basic setup.
He's Not requiring or forcing anybody else to the same thing with their own rigs..
Take for example-
Trying to Re-land a rocket backwards back to the concrete landing pad...
No one in their right mind would even contemplate doing such a thing...
The amount of stress on the rocket structure, internal fuel tanks and thrusters would be Too great to even try such a maneuver.
Plus, it would probably crack the landing pad if it came down too fast.
Let alone then re-used the same "landed" booster within a few days to launch another payload again!
Well, all it took was a guy who believed it can be done with current technology..
to beat physics and make it possible to do so, with each ~56,000-60,000 lb boosters.
You don't hear Any NASA engineers repeatedly telling Elon how absurd it is to keep doing that. , because "physics".
Naw ur good man, no worries!!i didnt mean to hate on anybody. i just think self-righting is one of the best ways to kill your car. if i offended anybody ill just shut up and leave.

i get what your saying, but really i don't think its worth arguing. That is not what I'm implying for you to do.
All I'm saying is - if he suggested something and you don't agree..
and you gave a valid & logical counterpoint(s)*** then that should be it.
If he doesn't agree with your viewpoint(s) that's he's prerogative. He's free to do what he wants with his rig(s)...
No need to go on & on about it continuously until you get him to change his mind... right?
That's all I'm saying.
*** Because you can easily create another thread to rebuff his suggestions by showing all the extensive damage that can occur to the motors and diffs etc.
if someone were to attempt what he's doing.
Ok I think I have created the ultimate sleeper RC, packed more HP and cell count in there then I ever have before. But outside she looks stock!!
Mounted with M4 screws. I made the holes slightly smaller in the design process then the M4 screws used , that way screws self tap into it and don't require a nut on the end. She is solidly in there. You can haul it around just holding the battery tray np.
She required SAB Goblin battery straps haha, nice touch to looks wise. The guys at the field will love it!!!

It'll be rare I run it on 12s, but i have pre-loaded that sides suspension a bit more then the other. Seems balanced fine. One way to find out. Send it down the road haha. With the double batteries off to the very edge on the driver side.. Doesn't that cause any suspension problems with weight bias??
This is my second 12s car, and the other is an 8s. Honestly because of the extra weight "Batteries & Motor" they really don't spin much more then normal. Once the tires are heated that does help a ton. Last summer I was hoonin' my other 12s for like a solid 4 minutes on hard throttle, then I temped my tires, just to see, 230F lololol....On 12s does it just spin crazy?
What about when the tires are warm? Wonder what the drag times are...
