Do you like xt90 plug or EC5?

As you know, arrma change the plug to EC5, so what would you like? xt90? EC5?

I like EC5 but that's only cuz I can solder those like a pro!!

I can solder XT90's too just not as good with those as I am EC5's but there both outstanding plugs that hold together well, I recently converted my fleet of batteries to EC5.

I have all xt90 for my 1/8 and SCT cars. When I was at the decision point between them, a 10 pack of xt90 were about $15, and the EC5 were $5 a plug. Now there are decent China copies of the EC5 that are pretty cheap too.

Both are great connectors. Though my personal preference connector is the EC5 as I've been using them for a long while now.

XT90 for the simple fact that all of my batteries and ESC's have them with the exception on the batteries for my Losi Rock Rey (EC3) and Super Rock Rey (EC5).

I just switched all my stuffs to ec5 a few weeks ago, and I have no regrets. We'll see how I feel after a season with em.

I recently switched everything to XT90 as well. Really good connection, but sometimes a little hard to take apart. I consider that a good thing, as I've had different connectors that would come apart during hard bash sessions. Soldering was hard at first, but I learned that attaching a male and female together while you're doing it, makes for much better results. If I get a new rig that has different, I'll likely switch to the XT90. In the case of the new Arrmas, which will be using the new IC5 smart connector, probably going to have to buy an adapter.

Whats the trick to doing the ec5's? Do you solder then push it in or do you push it in then solder? Reason I ask is my buddies kept pulling out of the plug.

With my EC3, I solder the bullets, then push them in - make sure they click. If they don't click, they will pull out.

XT90 and XT60 on some smaller rigs. Never ever had a problem with either.

I changed mine to ec5s and found that while it’s still very warm the bullet slips into the connector easier than when it’s fully cooled. Just seems to always work when I do that

They look very clean, have almost no risk of exposing wife, and give you lots of purchase for disconnecting batteries. I switched everything over last month.

XT90. They’re the connector fitted to my Talion, Typhon and Notorious as well as the 4 lipos I have.

XT90 for me.
I've no experience of the EC5 but I used the XT90 on my high end drone as well as it's the current connectors on my Typhon so wouldn't want to change ideally.

Both my arrma vehicles came with xt90's and I like them. Never have given me any issues.
