Does anyone know if or when Hobbywing will release the Max 6 G2?

Son of a gun................ I just traded my old Max6 in for a new one.............

-edit- Built in Bluetooth is nice.
It looks like they changed to a proprietary plug for the esc fan..........
8.4V bec is a nice touch.
The anti spark isn't really new the old Max6 has that.
It still looks like JR to me?

Well it isn't JST like the old one was, even if it is JR it isn't really the "standard" fan plug for an esc so most any fan upgrade is going to have to be externally powered or you will have to cut and splice a JR connector onto the new fan.

why does the max 6 g2 have built in bluetooth but not the max 5 g2! wtf man.

They just did. I feel like the quickruns are becoming the sensorless line. Rebranded old max v3’s style escs i hope thats what they are and they are crazy cheap . And the max g2 line is the premium sensored system

I'm not sure if the leaked Max6 G2 specs are correct. Same size and weight as the Max5 G2????

Yeah that doesn't sound right on the Max6 G2 specs, at least I'm hoping not since the G1 was a nice upgrade for almost any 6s sized rig without too much added weight or size. At say 40% increase in weight and a substantially bigger footprint it wouldn't likely fit in alot of 6s rigs?

I like the fact it has built in Bluetooth, but it makes no sense that no other HW esc's not even the full race ones have built in Bluetooth 🤔

Oh good, glad to see. I did try the link shared above but it wouldn't load the page.

Interesting.. the G2 has the ability to be set for 5 or 7s along with the usual cell count options.
This is something the previous Max esc's didn't have.. meaningless to some I know but I have run and enjoyed using 5s in my 6s rated rigs in the past. I used to have to disable LVC and rely on "instincts" to not over discharge my batteries.. or pony up for alarms running off balance leads.. I suppose the Max8 G2 has this too?🤔😁

I'm a little disappointed the new motor probably won't fit in Infraction or Felony without flipping motor mount though. If you're going to that trouble you might as well go bigger.

Has anyone found info on the Hobbywing 4990 motor? Interested in how much power it has.
I didn't even know about the 4990..
I have been looking for power ratings on the new 5690 they put out. Haven't found it yet but my guess is similar to the 4985?
Edit, I meant similar to to the 5687.
I'd bet it's identical to the old one. The added length is just for the sensor board.
Can the G2 stuff be used without sensor? They're actually sensored now right? Not just a temp sensor?
I only ask just in case something happens to the sensor wire or bearing in the motor. A simple bearing change in a brushless motor may not be so simple or cheap anymore?
