Found me some larger diameter grp 1/5th. She’s got the balls for the slightly heavier more offset wheels and the gearing for that larger diameter rubber. 118mm to 137mm. Not too sure how I feel bout em yet.
this time out we are running saga 46t pinion w saga 29t scorchedRc 8mm ti spool locked down w dave’s new Roto-Lok mount. Gp5 diffs packed w 200k juice should do the trick for the 8s passes.

No more 1 handed drive this mojave thou.an park far away...those grps are huge. I just saw them an was wondering about them.they look soft an squshy.got 1/5 grps on way.cant wait to try them.

They’re intended for the 1/5 gas powered f1 and gt rigs like 30+lbs I believe. I’m gonna bench test for ballonage prior to use. I also got the just bash it 24mm adapters if these don’t pan out. I figured I can gain a few mph based off diameter alone. ;-)

Ya should gain about 1 mph per 1mm.curious on how you like them..get my 1/5 revos tomorrow .this seams ridiculously cheap.probly end up being 1/8.

Those are the ones I ran the 100s with. Almost too small for what I got. She’s got loads of power, I’d run the sweeps if they could handle 100mph but they seem to blow bead around 75-80. Gonna look into that banana foam wheel guy for something.. these trucks are 1/7 scale, they should have a larger wheel IMO

I'm gonna try them on newest build.typhon on mojave chassis. Reg grps look to small.you should go get a higher kv motor. I have similar setup. 100kv on my setup equals about 15mph

Taller tires might look nicer, but they raise the ride height and increase the leverage when power is applied. GRPs are smaller diameter to keep the car down on the ground. These 1:5 scale GRPs are about as big as I would care to run at high speeds unless you have a 1:5 scale or larger rig.

My man!! Took the words right out of my mouth! I have been tweaking the ride height and had it perfect before tossing these on. It doesn’t look like I’ll be using these for speed runs anytime soon. I was just shy of 1/2” clearance which seemed to keep her planted last time out. Now it’s closer to an 1” off the ground which will create too much of a gap for air to lift off!
im probably gonna run the reg ones first before messing w these huge monsters LOL.

Hell yeah!! Gonna do the zip tie aka cut spring to slam to the ground mod!! Adds 15hp easily!! Maybe a huge wing on the back and a felony front end!! Lmao! Jk
I’ve probably speed run a few dozen times on my way to 100. Wasn’t til the last few hits that I was able to keep her sunny side up! I’ve got full grasp of the aero dynamics or lack there of for this brick! Went as far as hitting it w industrial leaf blower to keep her planted. As long as she stays in line the stays put! I have no intentions of speed running these w this current set up. I’m looking for those easy mph’s cuz the ones up top are harder and harder to grab!! Fml!
like I said earlier I did scoop the jbi 24mm adapters too. I grabbed those for off-road use after I shatter the world record ;-). Smell me?!? Hahaha.
looks kinda cool. Shorter arms in the future or use on a different build. Got a few things cooking in the lab now soon to be revealed;-)
