Anyone know of shock rod and shock rod end replacements for the zd racing shocks. Tore one up today and the ends I bought don’t fit(too big slide over threads) . The shock somehow got sucked up in front of the rear tire and bent it slightly, lucky it didn’t crack the tower. I’ve got more complete sets of the shocks so I’m pilfering them at the moment to keep going, but I’d like to have replacement parts other than entire shocks as parts. These are the ones I got, thought they’d fit 4mm shafts being m3/m4 rod ends. https://www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-m4-m3-plastic-rod-end-10-ssd00116/p507505

Do you have a micrometer? Measure the threaded part of the shaft if it is 3.5mm pretty much any 1/8th scale shock rod end will work.

I am partial to the Teknos because of the locking perches https://www.teknorc.com/shop/tkr614...nd-spring-perch-set-updated-2019-16mm-shocks/

Might be worth looking at traxxas gtr hard anno'd shocks. They have a few sizes, might be able to get some that work. Then you have many springs to choose from and you can also run VDK pistons in them. I have them on my stampede 4x4 and they are tough as nails.

Pretty sure I have these on the front:

And rear:

VDK: https://www.amazon.com/Traxxas-5461-Variable-Damping-Shocks/dp/B0015YVSN8

Drilled out the pistons to 1/16" and run 70wt associated with VG Racing dual rate springs:

I know... traxxas part on an arrma truck, but they really are nice shocks.
I see not much love for this post, but have been chasing the same thought. I run hard in rough open pasture land and big jumps. The only reason I'm considering these is for the adjustable damping kit and I don't see anything simular from Arrma. I'm hoping to save the chassis slap from 40' jumps yet still be able to handle the rough terrain. Or at least some sort of meet in middle...lol. Thinking soft springs, heavy oil, and drilled out VDK. What is your set up and thoughts?
